In Mechelen, Belgium, Zehnder Pumpen technology is used for wastewater disposal. A total of 3 Kompaktboy Doppel SE 71 sewage lifting units were installed in the 4-star hotel. With their high-performance cutter, the lifting units shred hygiene articles, among other things, and thus ensure reliable operation. The pumps are switched fully automatically in alternating operation using the pneumatic comfort control ZPS; if necessary, both pumps can run to compensate for peak loads.

Berlin underground

Foul water and sewage in Berlin's underground stations must be pumped by means of lifting units. Lifting units from Zehnder Pumpen are installed in a large number of Berlin stations. The units are made of corrosion-resistant polyethylene and were installed to replace rusty and leaky metal stations. In addition to standard units of type WUZ 100 and WUZ 80, many units were also equipped with special tanks for special local conditions as well as individual inlets.

Motorway A 72 Mühlbachtal, Germany

A pressure boosting system was installed at the Mühlbachtal rest area on the A 72 motorway to ensure the supply of drinking water to the rest areas on both sides of the motorway. The pressure boosting system used there is of the type ZPV II-6-7. With this system, the rest areas can be supplied with sufficient drinking water, which is of great importance for the travellers and visitors to the rest area. Zehnder has also equipped a number of other rest areas using pressure boosting systems of various types.
